Chandni Chowk, Delhi, India

A place of polarizing personality…… the enthralling lure off…. it’s the flavoursome food, captivating culture, coruscating colours and passionate people…. a place that I have deeply loved exploring and experiencing…… with the invincible love of the land….my ancestors had derived from. During, my stay in the metropolitan city of Delhi…. I began to notice the prominent contrast of the older and newer India…... creating a fusion of beautiful diversity……within the 21st century. While going through the bustling bazaar…. on the quite recognisable rickshaw…it was an eye opening experience. The simplicity of little stalls along the endless streets to the small gatherings of people getting food…... ranging of various choices of traditional Indian specialties. On my journey…down the streets…I noticed not only the wide food variety…but the love that was put into the making of it during the process. This was noticed by a personal encounter……of a man-selling biryani for the past eight years……... he had a deep passion of sharing his specialty with the public…. and even gave me my very own portion to try…. just while passing by. It showed the love that was imputed into the food and taking on the task of standing in the hot sun each day while doing so. From the poignant colours of the old bazaar to the new modernised new buildings and infrastructure…. I noticed a contrast of society in two different spectrums.
