There are many adjectives I can use to describe myself like tenacious, outgoing, hardworking, lateral thinker but instead of doing that let me tell you about who I really am and what I am passionate about.

 

Over the years, I have tried many different things and I've now come to a stage where I can truly say I've found where my passions lie: in Education and Nutrition.

 

As a former teacher and current nutritional health coach, I have vast experience in both fields. Being an educator to me means so much more than just standing in front of people and talking it’s about empowerment and moulding minds to think bigger and better. To see what does not meet the eye at a first glance, to be happy within yourself and realize that your potential lies in the fact that whatever it is you can give to the world is enough. You are enough.

Cooking has always been therapeutic for me. Being in the kitchen experimenting with ingredients to create dishes full of flavor brings me a sense of fulfillment. This new adventure brings me much joy and excitement to finally breathe, speak and eat food!!

 

My journey to being healthy is an especially long one spanning over 20 years. My relationship with food has never been a good one and today, I can finally say that has changed.

When I failed to qualify for Comrades despite her intense training and running 3 marathons, I realised something wasn't right.​

This is when my journey to nutrition started, understanding foods and how to fuel my body as well as nurture it.

Now I want to bring you healthy, nutritious and tasty recipes to demonstrate how easy it can be to live a life with balance!

Shazeats showcases entrepreneurship, women empowerment, making healthy choices for you and your family and nurturing those around us. It grows on a daily basis and I thank you for your enthusiasm and encouragement.
