It is You we worship and You we ask for help.( 1:5)

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.( 1:5) Throwback @accidentalmuslims , The Unity Conference, Live With Purpose, on the IDENTITY show on SABC 1

Everyone has a story, I was fortunate enough to share it on the platform @accidentalmuslims gave me. I remember back stage feeling so nervous, up to the point shaking, I was a bundle of nerves @ashrafgarda and @abdulmanack told me to relax and just speak. In every situation whenever I’m in distress I pray ‘It is You we worship and You we ask for help.( 1:5)’ from the Surah Fatiha. Every time I pray this I have utmost faith that things will work out. In life through its ups and downs this one verse has given me strength and whenever I have hit lows this one verse has given me comfort that the almighty is best of planners and the knower of all things. On this platform I prayed this verse again and I walked out onto the stage. I started and stumbled a little, but then the speech flowed. Within minutes I started to see reactions from people when I spoke, people sighed, people laughed, people cried, people clapped , an overwhelmingly warm and amazing reception from an audience full of compassion and love. My Allah, the almighty was once again with me in Unity to be able to speak and take on a task of telling my story and in turn given me the opportunity to help others. Indeed, ‘It is You we worship and You we ask for help.( 1:5)’

Jazakallah @accidentalmuslims @khalilaleker @zaheerparker for the opportunity to be a part of, Live With Purpose..... and to share the platform with the other speakers who had profound, empowering and inspirational stories to share.
