So recently I have really been intrigued in finding out about food that was encouraged to be eaten by the Prophet Muhammed SAW.
The Prophet Mohammad SAW gave guidance in what to eat and each of the foods that I bought today all have properties and all should be eaten in good reason. I love supporting local businesses and Samir Fruit and Veg is another favorite of mine. It’s a one stop shop in finding all seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as array of other things from condiments, dairy and other unusual but authentic Middle Eastern and Indian delights. I made a particular visit today in the search for prophetically inspired food or the food the Prophet included in his diet. In my search I was able to take home: grapes melons, figs, dates, pumpkin, cucumbers, carrots, mushrooms, honey, vinegar, olive oil , ricotta cheese. Healthy body, healthy mind. Healthy food sustains us, it enriches our mind as much as it fuels our bodies. A healthy diet comprises of a mix of all food types and moderation is key just as the habits of the Prophet Muhammed SAW encouraged and advised.
