Healthy French Toast
Healthy French Toast is a protein and carb combination for a Meal 1 choice for @shazeats_mandysway.
This French Toast is great muscle replenishing food as it is high in protein and big on flavour, especially after a good mornings training on a Saturday. I pack it in with as much flavour as I can from cinnamon, vanilla essence to all spice powder. The ISO Whey Protein sweetens it up and the drizzle of Nova Sugar Free Chocolate Spread makes it all the more yummy!!!!
1. In a big bowl, whisk 1 tbsp vanilla whey, 1 tsp of vanilla essence, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 tsp of all spice, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup fat free milk until all lumps disappear. You can use egg whites instead of whole eggs if you want to to keep the fat down. 2. Dunk 4 bread slices into the egg batter, making sure they're completely submerged. Leave the bread to soak for a couple of minutes so that each slice is fully saturated with the batter. 3. Turn stove to high and use cooking spray on a nonstick pan or on a flat grill. 4. Cook the battered soaked bread one piece at a time. 5.
