Prophetic Food

“Eat From The Good That We Have Provided For You.” Quran 2:172 This morning the suhoor I have is of some of the food items the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) loved eating both for their taste and their benefits and advantages. It is direct Sunnah to use these items while cooking food. Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) believed in these items’ benefits for the human body. The list below is of our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)’s favorite food items I have used in today’s Suhoor and the reasons why. Each of the foods are prophetically inspired food and have several healing properties and are high in vital minerals and vitamins. These foods provide lots of sources of energy and reduce the side effects from fasting. There is no disease that Allah has created, except he has created its treatment (Bukhari) 1. Cucumbers - Excellent for hydration 2. Olives- Decreased Risk of heart disease 3. Dates - Rich in Fiber and aids constipation 4. Grapes-Rich in antioxidants 5. Figs-Cure for piles 6. Labneh/milk- source of calcium and good bone health 7. Honey- Remedy for many ailments
